Robin Radley is the fastest boy in town. But, of much more value than the strength of his legs is the strength of his heart. He loves his Savior, and whenever he runs, he runs with a purpose—to lighten the burden for his overworked mother.
With new trials around the bend, Robin’s steady disposition and love for the Savior are about to be tested beyond anything he has ever known.
Bearing the shame of his father’s theft, Robin and his mother find themselves evicted from their home. Far from the friendly greetings of the townspeople, Robin must decide if he actually believes in the promises and comforts found in the Scriptures or if they are just empty words.
Then he remembers what his mother has said: that a blessing might be expected in doing the duty of whatever situation Providence might appoint. Now Robin must do his duty, no matter how lonely it might be. If sheep are to be his lot, then he will shepherd them as if he is King David himself!
